The Hughes and Liang Diversity Intelligence® assessment © 2020 is a tool to help develop creative, practical, and actionable diversity intelligent strategies with our clients. Individual scores of leader knowledge, workplace education and training, behavior, and overall DQ are provided.
Self-Rating
This self-rating assessment lets leaders rate their diversity leadership knowledge, training and education, and behavior. It's a good introduction to diversity intelligence™. Leaders typically find it engaging, and, while completing the assessment and reflecting on their scores, they learn about themselves and begin to understand the basic concepts behind diversity intelligence™.
Online Only
The online assessment is a 7-point Likert scale that takes 20-25 minutes to complete, with immediate scoring upon completion. The scoring handout includes a knowledge, training and education, behavior, and overall DQ score with short description of what the scores mean based on responses provided.

Discussing the ResultsAfter individuals have completed the assessment and received their scores, they can schedule with us for additional services. Organizations that are interested in our assessment can contact us to schedule consultations. Consultants can also contact us to discuss partnership opportunities.
Assessment Reliability and Validity The assessment's reliability and validity are high for individuals. Both confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis were conducted to validate the assessment. The assessment is useful for stimulating thinking and learning and providing an accurate snapshot of an individual's diversity leadership behavior.
Implications of the Four Scores
Knowledge Score
The knowledge raw score reflects the respondent's consciousness about what the respondent knows about different employee protections and categories in the workplace.
Workplace Training and Education Score The workplace training and education raw score reflect the respondent's current perception of what the respondent believes the respondent's current organization has provided to meet the respondent's needs to behave and communicate effectively with all employees.
Behavior Score The behavior raw score reflects the respondent's current perception of the respondent's cognizant behavior towards employees.
Overall DQ Score The overall DQ raw score reflects the respondent's understanding of how the respondent perceives the respondent's knowledge, workplace training and education, and behavior regarding diversity in the workplace.
